Does anyone know what omega this is?
Hello, this was left to me by my family some years back. It was my grandfathers watch. I don’t know anything about it and can’t seem to find any of these exact watches on the internet. Close but not exact. Can anyone that might come across this posting help me? Thanks!

Nice watch and great story, I hope you're able to gather more details. Unfortunately I'm not sure, but hopefully someone here will know.

The reference number will be on the inside of the case back.
Omega made a lot of different models. |

Ill have to take it somewhere to get the case back off of it. I have no idea or the tools how to do that. Its flat. Closest thing I can find is an old picture of an Omega Geneve 1976 but I can't find any other watches with that name that look like this one.

A lot of the old Omega advertisements just say gents Omega watch.
They did not use names on a lot of the models. So, the only way you can differentiate them is by the reference numbers. |

The reference number inside the case is 196.0080. That number says it’s a Seamaster . Can that be? It doesn’t say Seamaster on the face. The movement is a 1345. It’s become quite interesting trying to learn about this old watch. I can’t find very many examples even after I identified the correct reference number. I appreciate any and all help and input.
