Does the newer Seamaster or Planet Ocean Micro Adjustment Clasp fit my older Seamaste

Recently sent my Omega SMP Chrono GMT in for service and requested the newer micro adjustment clasp to be installed in the watch from the newer SMO and Planet Ocean series.

The service estimate came back saying that it is not available for this watch.

My question is two fold. Will the newer clasp work and fit for this model? I have heard of that clasp working for other previous gen SMP so I assumed it worked for the SMP Chrono GMT.

Also where could I purchase the clasp if Omega service will not sell me one? I tried to search on eBay but could not find the clasp.

Any help appreciated here!

I cant answer any of your questions, sorry. But I have to say that watch looks awesome! How does it wear? Ive read it’s heavy, which I like.

I'm not sure which one fits but will bet you it can work, one way or another. Hopefully someone here will be able to confirm this based on the specs or personal experience.

It's a fantastic piece but my biggest issue with previous Seamaster watches was always the lack of micro adjustment. Even if you were able to get the "perfect fit", on hot days it can be uncomfortable.

Either way, I'm hoping you're able to make this happen soon to enjoy this great watch even more.

It's great! I like a heavy watch, however it's not too heavy, and you can wear it as a daily.

It's been spot on accurate and received quite a few compliments on it.

Also one of the greatest high horology movements as it is based on the FP 1285, of which Omega upgraded.

Does anyone know if I can just order the clasp from an Omega AD and they just give it to me?
