Like tag as well

Hi Tag was also my "gateway drug" into luxury watches and lead me to my current Sub C. My first, a 2008 aquaracer alarm is still running well. It has been everywhere, swimming, hunting, waterskiing, snow skiing, you name it. There is not a scratch on it and only one battery after 7 years. After purchasing my sub C I wanted a blue face diver (and not being able to afford a white gold sub yet) I picked up a blue faced automatic aquaracer. Beautiful watch at a great price. They also make some interesting chrono's, the Carrera with the 1887 movement is a piece I am considering (I have large wrists and the Daytona just looks too small on me for a chrono, one day maybe they will make a 42) So all in all, I like Tag Heuer, will always be room for one or two in my collection.

What do you think the current thoughts are about the brand? I actually like TAG’s “Pepsi” variant and it’s between the Tudor and that for a fun purchase...

Sorry about the delay in answering; I didn't see I'd been quoted. Well if this is any indication of the brand then I'm impressed. I just received today. But in truth I feel a bit about TH the way I do about Omega. There are so many models that I can't make sense of it all. For me, sticking to models that are known as having a historical significance is the only way I'd get involved. The Monaco was the first auto wind and the first square Chronograph. That and it's tie to Steve McQueen and the Le Mans movie make it desirable to me. There are some newly released copies of the original McQueen however I'm not much for copies as to me they always seem contrived. I'm happy with this one which is a bit more formal and a modern release. It was received from Turkey new and absolutely perfect.

I have a tag cl111a gifted to me (used) by my brother.

Although the face of the watch is a little smaller than what I like, The truth is the watch does everything (and more) that I need: two time zones, day date, stopwatch, alarm.

the watch is also analog and digital.

Not selling, but the resale value (at least over here) is more or less about 10 to 30 percent of what it cost new.

I like tags, I think that they produce a good watch for a fair price, and I also think that the new gmt is also very nice!

Post a photo; resale depends on popularity I suspect.

Wow! That's some recommendation.

Even though I don't own one, I've always thought that for the non-WIS, the TAGs make a great choice, not only because they look great, but because laypeople believe they are haute horlogerie.

Now, I think you've planted a seed that will eventually yield a TAG.

I just realized that this is a nine-year-old thread.

It seems to have been updated as the years have gone by. There's not a lot of information on TAG Heuer on the forum, fwiw.

I saw that but I did respond to a nine-year-old post.
