Looking for an cerified Rolex tech around the Atlanta area to remove the divers extension. One that I spoke with told me that I need to keep it and just remove links. Does anyone have a tech they can recommend that has removed their extension?

Finally received my SD43 (mark I it seems). It not at all too big to too heavy for my 7.5" wrists. In addition to the size, I will say I am very impressed by the bezel. It is far smoother than the bezel on by GMTIIc and the additional purchase afforded by the "sharper" edge of the bezel is a big improvement.

Same here. AD received it on 8/6, I purchased it on 8/7. Mrk I dial, FWIW.

I feel like there was a stock push the past few weeks on SD43, seeing a good amount of 'finally got ones'. Happy for those that have been waiting a long time

I’m looking for the thread on sizing (i.e. removing the divers extension). I’ve used the search function but can’t track it down. Can someone help me out if they know where it’s at?

Hi All - tried a new set up - I have had issues for a while with fit as the watch kept falling to the 12 o’clock side on my left wrist when fit comfortably - sort of flopped that way - I just moved a link from the 6:00 side to the 12:00 side and now fits much better (sits centered) and clasp is centered. This is the case although bracelet is no longer truly centered when off wrist. Dealer said not usual set up but agreed that it worked well. Could just be my wrist but thought I would pass on incase anyone else has the same issue.

Wow - great link. Seems like I am not the first to try the 6:4 ratio, but I like it (so far). Other good points on that like. Seems this watch can be tougher to fit just right given size/weight. Again- may just be my wrist - and hated having to keep moving watch back to center to tell time.... will see how goes over time.

A brief but interesting SD 43 “why I bought” article.

Let me join this 50th club. SD43 can truely separate from the look of Submariner for its size. Amazing piece!!

Took awhile to get it, but finally got one a couple weeks ago.
It’s well balanced size and heft. Bigger than my subC and blnr, but sits comfy on my wrist...not too big, not too heavy, just right

I picked mine up a week ago from a cold call to an AD about 45 minutes away. They received it the day before and like me were still in shock that they received it.

I'm still in the in awe phase. The size of the case is absolutely perfect, IMHO. Not sure yet if I can make it a daily wear, given its weight, but wow, what a beautiful watch.

Congrats. Your as certainly very lucky. Trust me, I didn’t think I could wear it daily because of the heft, but after a week or so it just felt perfect and really normal

Congrats to both of you! I felt the same at first but agree with Teddy. In about a week it became the daily and there is no turning back.

It’ll become a daily wearer. After a few days or a week it’ll feel normal and 40mm will feel small. I have to make myself wear my GMT, Seamaster, and IWC as they feel a bit small for the first couple of hours. Congrats on the pickup. I’ve had mine for just over a year and putting it on never gets old.

Are there some with glossy dial and some with satin? In the pictures some dials look way more shiny than others.

God willing, I receive mine tomorrow :)
