AD have 114300 white & Explorer ..cant decide
My local AD have 114300 white and an Explorer put by for me on Friday.
Just can't decide ... previously seen both in flesh but not together. I currently have a 1680 and a Hulk. It will be a watch I wear regularly ...maybe a daily. I generally wear jeans, polo shirt ... not a suit and tie fella. If I don't decide on Friday, I can't see them hanging around for long |

I'd have to go for the 114300, personally. They're both fantastic pieces, so you can't go wrong - it all depends on whether you would prefer a black or a white dial.

I narrowed it down to the same two watches last week and left with an Air King, so no help from me!

Both can be worn pretty casually. Probably the Explorer is a bit sporty than the OP for a casual jeans and polo attire.
I like the clasp and dial of the Explorer more so it gets my vote on that alone. |

I'd go with the white OP so you'd then have a black, green and white faced Rolex in your collection.

White OP.
I had the Explorer and got rid of it. The matte black dial really didn't do it for me. In contrast, the dial on the white OP39 is easily one of the best Rolex dials in the last 10 years. And although everyone went mad for the fully lumed 3 6 9, I much prefer the symmetrical elegance of the batons on the OP. Also, I really didn't like the smooth bezel on the Explorer. It's a scratch magnet and I don't think it goes that well with the watch. The OP has a domed bezel, which shows up fewer scratches and looks far more elegant. Although the OP is cheaper, I'd still buy the OP if it cost £4,800 (even if I had a chance to buy the Explorer for £4,050 or whatever the OP should cost), because it looks like it's worth every penny. Plus if you already have a 1680 and Hulk, a while dial is a worthy addition. |

Since you have black and green dials, the white might prove to be more useful. Both great watches. Really like that new OP in white.

Hard choice. I really like the white OP. I own the explorer and wouldn’t trade but would perhaps add the white OP. With your attire and general needs I’d go with the explorer.

I would go with the OP, but I think the easy link on the Explorer would swing it for me.

Looks like a 34 as the batons at 369 are larger (whereas all batons are same size on 39)

Can't miss with either. I think once you see them side by side there will be a stand out.

Contemplated this exact same thing recently and decided on the Explorer. I personally wanted a sportier look and found the smooth bezel and the 3-6-9 to give me that. As a bonus you get a superior lume and clasp. However it really comes down to your own personal preferences and what type of look you're going for.

OP. You’ve got a black dial, a green dial. Go for a white one (or blue).
It’s friday... did you make a decision?

I'm not going to be much help, but I will add that I wonder sometimes why I own more than just these two.

Love the white OP. Color changes from white to silver depending on the lighting.

Tough call on that one...the OP is pretty sweet and would provide more diversity to your collection. I do really like and own the Explorer though.

I'd pick the OP, clean and crisp, the white dial is a beauty in person. I was never an Expl fan although it has a great fit and bracelet.

Tough call, but I would (and did) go with the Explorer... The white OP is a great looking piece, and would likely be my next choice in a six digit model.
