Need some help

Hi Guys I'm a newbie to Panerai. I'm looking at buying one but not sure of which model. There are so many different models that im confused. I have AP's and a bunch of Rolex. Now I'm looking at Panerai to change it up a little. My style of watch is automatic, chrono with date. I also want a minimum size of 42mm. What do you guys recommend? Wrist shots would be appreciated. Thanks in advance

Maybe do a web search for PAM 212. That watch is awesome.

in-production models matching what you wrote (auto, chrono, date) = 356, 524 & 525.

however, other than the 526, which is a pretty cool new regatta piece, i prefer chronos from other brands. the 527 and 530 are no-date chrono SEs that are pretty nice, too. you can also look at the 212 and 317, which were recently made chronos, but do not have a date. there are, of course, a LOT of non-chrono auto and manual PAMs worth considering.

You can also look at the older but nice 196.

Am I right to say only the Panerai LUMINOR 1950 3 DAYS CHRONO FLYBACK AUTOMATIC ( ø 44 mm ) / PAM00524 have the in-house movement?

I had a 212 but let it go and regret it big time. No date though. the 356 is an awesome looking watch and has everything you asked for. Auto, date and 44mm.
