Speedmaster Reduced Water Resistence

Hi all

I have an old Speedmaster Reduced which I purchased used a few years ago.

I have always thought it isn’t water resistant based on general comments that I’ve read on the internet. However, I’ve seen an old screenshot of the Omega website suggesting that the Reduced is water resistant to 10bar.

Is anyone on here able to confirm absolutely whether or not the Reduced is water resistant?

I don’t need it to go to any great depths, for use in a swimming pool at most!

Also, I assume there was only one reference made of the Reduced?

No.

The Speedmaster Reduced was rated for 3 bar, about 100 feet.

10 bar would be 100 meters, and so perhaps some are confusing meters with feet.

Another recommendation, find somewhere to get the watch pressure tested. You said it was an older watch so I would make sure the seals are still good before you take it out into the water.

Vince, regardless of WR and even if the watch is pressure tested this is the kind of watch I wouldn't wear in a swimming pool or the ocean. Others may disagree but this is my honest opinion.
