What a shame they screwed up the 14060 with the ceramic bezel and fat, ugly lug.

After carefully looking at all of the new releases the one that I like the most is the new Platinum DD with the emeralds/diamonds. It is elegant and classy yet not too blingy!

I like the Chocolate Sky Dweller, the blue YM and the smooth bezel DJ II. Not so much the others.
Kind of disappointed with the Sky Dweller, but it could be an acquired taste. I'm not sure if it's a tool watch with the fluted bezel...it might look nicer with a smooth one. Definitely the arabic dial looks better than the romans. |

Hard enough trying to dress casual while rocking a YG watch, gonna be fun seeing anyone other then movie stars trying to rock this new Daytona haha... Looks like some serious craftsmanship went into the design over all but i gotta give it a thumbs down.

Thanks Alex for showing us full size photos of some of the new releases :)
It is the first time that I have had a proper chance to take a look. Having not really appreciated the YM before, I do like the new colour of the dial and believe that it makes a good combination. Part of me likes the new Sky Dweller and how the month is portrayed, but to be a true annual calendar it should also show the day. In hindsight I think that I shall be sticking with my Patek 5205G............and it is actually cheaper! LOL

I actually really like the Sky-Dweller. Would never go for a watch like that in gold, though. I like the non-date Sub, never having liked the old one.
The new Datejust II with smooth bezel and silver dial is fantastic! Why did it take so long to put the silver dial in that watch? The changes to the YM are really impressive - it's no longer an ugly duckling. It looks like the end of the white gold Day-Date, which would be a shame. |

Not really anything that excited me... The Sky Dweller is 'different' but not my bag. I wanted to see a ceramic GMT Pepsi, oh well... Makes my next Rolex addition easier though; SS Sub Date for me... Target date July (next planned trip back to the UK)!

Thanks for the awesome update/photos. IMHO don't think much of the 'new' line, but I have been proven wrong before :-)

So what does the Ring Command actually do?
The more I see the Sky Dweller the more I like it but it will be interesting to see one in the metal and know what the price is. I don't like the new Sub but then again I like the older versions with the smaller case. |
