Sub 114060 For MSRP

Hi All!

First post in the forum. I have the opportunity to purchase a 114060 (Sub No Date) at an AD (I never purchased from them before).

I have the funds put aside and am comfortable to buy, but was wondering if MSRP would be the lowest I will be able to purchase it at or if I would be able to get 5% off now or in the near future.

Thanks all!

5% is nothing on the grand scheme. Get it if you want it.

Thanks for the reply! So you don't think I'll be able to get any discount on it even in this social climate?

Doesn’t hurt to ask. It is after all just a mass produced luxury item that serves no critical purpose in this day and age.

Nobody here can see the future. In most places of the world there are long waitlists for a Submariner. Your call.

Ask 10%, be happy with 5%, buy anyway with 0%.

If I am offered a SUB ND by my AD I do not need to think further - I will drop by his shop asap to complete purchase before he let it go to someone else.

5%? Hit the bid. Well worth buying new from an AD

Its one of the most iconic Rolex out there. BUY IT !

Id tell you to look else where for a date-just. Nothing wrong with asking for some discount. Everybody wants to win. Most people on this forum get a call for a sub would buy it at retail.

Easiest way to be an ADs first phone call is to buy when they do.

I was in the same spot for a Sub Date in mid-March from an AD at MSRP, I did it. I had been waiting almost a year.

It depends how bad you want it. If you’re willing to risk losing it over 5% then I would wait. You can try asking but I’m sure the answer will be no. I’m only guessing but I would think discounts are still a few months away. And by that time if the supply has trickled down then it will still be difficult to get from an AD so you won’t get a discount.
Supply will always be relative to demand.

Thanks all!

Consensus here looks to be buy it at the AD while I still have the opportunity to. That's what I was learning towards anyways haha.

Will most likely pull the trigger and update the group with a nice wrist shot!

Buy it. I'm wearing the 114060 as I type this. This at MSRP+tax is still a solid value in this market. Looks like the gray market is taking a haircut but will likely be a while until discounts can be had at an AD. Get it on the wrist!

Ask 10% and pay cash. I bet at the very least he/she counters you with 3% off.

I can’t imagine any of the MA based ADs selling a sub for below retail plus tax.

You want them to knock $375 off it? First and last time they call you.
