And banned. The nerve of some people and posting his poor 'experience' here. Scammers are getting pretty brazen these days.

I wonder what his intent was with this post... maybe to find a loophole in the fedex system he could exploit?

Itís not greed ... these scumbags are just very good at this. Social engineering is very real.

I am really sorry that you had this happen, as I just avoided a scam from this same user as well over the weekend.

I couldn't be 100% sure then which is why I didn't post, but am pretty sure now. He wanted to have me ship a watch to him with COD. I couldn't confirm the check and passed on the deal last minute.

I called the bank now and realize it was a faked cashiers check. He gave me lots of false info; a paycheck that he claimed was payment for a previous sale; claimed he could't send a better photo of the check due to data limits, etc.

I am glad you and I both avoided this. Avoid this user and spo888.

As soon as that clown asked for you to pay customs, I would have said bye bye to that shit-heel.

I am glad you got this sorted before he scammed you.

Is there a pinned shipping guide for everyone. It may help to prevent these types of things as many people donít know that Fedex wonít insure watches and that registered mail is the best option. If there isnít maybe we should create one.

Thanks goodness for these kinds of threads. Have been in contact with a person named Loris with the email cafefantinimontreal (at) gm....com asking about my AP 15400 for about a week.

Tried searching on that email with no real hits and it was a slow back and forth and then all of a sudden he says "yes, fast to move forward" and signed his full name to the email and Google lead me here. Saw his intro thread saying his full name and he's in Montreal and then found this thread.

Whew, told him "Nevermind. Now that I have your last name, I found this thread. I'm not comfortable selling to you any longer."

Thanks TRF!

Takes balls from the scammer to post this thread to begin with. But if it stayed the course would have made him more legitimate down the road.

Iím in Canada also. In Orangeville Ontario and Iíve ordered watches from the states often and anytime there is signature required even when duties are already paid I always have to go show ID and sign for it. I believe the drivers if they have to many signature required parcels they send them all to depot and put the little pick up tag at your house.
