Hi all,

I see that there are some brushed and some polished case backs for 1680/8. Are the polished ones service replacements?

I haven't seen all 1680 gold case backs, but as I recall, they are broad and polished.

Do you have pics of something different?

Don't quote me on this but I believe they came fresh from the factory with faint concentric tool marks. The majority of the ones seen nowdays are polished smooth from normal wear.
