I drove a G 550 for a long weekend and loved it. Rode great.

That was the older model. I hear the new model is by far better v

G63 here, 2018 and prev generation. Yes, they can be harsh for some. As I tell everyone that asks, “it pulls left and leans right”. Not a family SUV. New generation much better but still not nearly as family friendly as the other SUV’s discussed. That being said I absolutely love it and plan on keeping it for a long time. There is nothing like it.

You still have 50 minutes or so to rethink your astonishingly homophobic post. After that - only a Mod can be asked.

Work for a MAJOR automotive manuf.

Neither are great for reliability.
Would def rec the RR Sport vs the Jag.

Congrats. Great choice! Much better than most alternatives. The RR and Jag arent very reliable and have poor lease residuals and high money factors. Mercedes G-glass has high residuals but terrible lease rate plus no discounts (and horrible gas mileage, ive owned one and can speak from experience plus they ride horribly). BMW always has good lease programs and solid products with a very good warranty program on new cars.

The BMW X5 has won the sweepstakes and my heart

I am enormously appreciative of all the suggestions and the shared experiences

I’m gonna drive it like I stole it

At least until the lease is up

Would you mind sharing some of your thoughts on why you chose it over the others? And maybe some things you worked through on your decision making process. I’m always interested in the ‘why’ if you don’t mind

I'm currently at a resort and one of the other people is driving a yellow Ferrari SUV and it looked totally dope. A real looker.

The “why” is easy:

As a long time BMW owner, I have had excellent reliability!

There is a BMW Dealership about 10 minutes from my office
Jaguar/Land Rover Dealership is 90 minutes away
So I chose convenience

Lastly, the numbers were terrific on the X5

Great call on the X5! Congrats!!

I have a 2010 328i coupe and a 2016 M3 and am hooked on BMWs. I am currently thinking of a 540i or X5.
How was the deal that much better than the Jag and RR?

I looked at a ton of higher-end SUVs recently and ended up going with the Audi SQ5. So far very happy with my decision.
