Just in...5513 Meters First, keeper?

Been chasing a 5513 Meters First for ages....this one just back from service.

Could this be the keeper? Your feedback is much appreciated.

Speaking strictly from the photos you provided, who can say? You’re gonna need higher rez, in-focus dial shots, and without out the overhead scattered lighting and shadows. It’s hard to tell anything from the pics here.

I mounted the watch on a 93150 with 501 end links....seems to fit well.

Classic Sub. Looks to be in nice condition. Congrats.

Do you have any photos before the service? I'm be interested to see what the case looked like before being polished, assuming that's when it was done.

The chamfer on the 7:00 lug looks a bit wider than the others, but otherwise good looking watch! BTW I believe 580 is the correct end link for this watch.

+1

93150 is not the exact correct ref of bracelet but if mounted on this one, 580 end links would be the right combination.

Sadly, my AD can no longer supply the correct 7206 or even a 9315 bracelet. They advised me that the 93150 c/w 501 end-links is what they currently list for the 5513.

When a suitable 7206 comes available, (at a sensible price), I'll pick-one up.

There are a couple of 7206s on eBay now. One date-stamped 67 and the other 68. $3500 and $2985 respectively.
You can also go the less-expensive route and get a USA-made version from the same years (stamped with C&I on the clasp)

Can you clarify??? Exactly how does the USA-made version differ?

Some 5513's and early 1680's were sold with those bracelets. Its the cheaper route, you can always grab one of those initially and then spend the next few years looking for the right 9315 at a reasonable price. Depends on your budget :)

Any Rolex technical or historical-related question you might have can be searched either on the forum "Search This Forum" (see below)
Or, simply by Googling something like "C&I Bracelet". You'll be rewarded with links to many threads and articles.

Thanks for the link...

I gather C&I stands for: Cheap and Inferior?

I agree. Especially the bottom two at the 6 o'clock position.
