Something different to Rolex doom and gloom

Apologies if this isn’t a thread about yet another AD perspective, how the market is getting worse, the economy is about to tank and we might get anything we want or a story about scratches, bezel alignment or size.
Introducing my trio of metals each with their own styles, feel and personality.
There are of course only the Rolex portion of the collection but perhaps a useful reference point to those comparing the different white metals. I will always have an SS model but it’s hard to go back once you go PM.
My favourite would be a tough choice but if based purely on an all rounder scale the GMT just edges it.

I never looked at SS after I acquired a PM Sub. I only collect SS now. Unworn.

I recently got both a Platinum Day Date and WG Daytona. I can see where you are going with this. I still sometimes wear my Explorer II as a beater, but one of those two watches is generally on, and the SS sit in the safe now.

PM is tough to beat.

Just doesn't feel like you're wearing a feather watch. You actually know you have a watch on your wrist.

Curious why you think the economy is about to tank?

The GMT WG is a grail for me.
So clean and can hide under the radar as a PM piece.

I love the smurf but the price is too much for me. Maybe one day. The only reason why I like it is because of the blue dial. Don’t care at all what metal it sits on.

But is WG that great? From the naked eye I can’t tell the difference between WG and SS. What makes it so hard to go back to SS?

If you can't tell the difference, and most can't, then you are not the audience for WG or platinum.

The media whispers it as a prayer during every news broadcast. “Please. Please. Stop this economy!”

I’ve seen nothing else in support of the doom except for that wish that the wheels come off.

Mostly Politico rhetoric to help one side win over another.

Super trio OP!

By the way, I have a hard time seeing the difference between SS and WG but the Plat stands out for sure, even from a pic!
