Scrapes and scratches, oh my
Got my first scrape on my exp II 42mm...it’s my daily since end of last year so I’m surprised it took this long actually...any others out there with the scrapes and scratches on their watch or are they similar to “garage queens” from the car world?

That’s means your enjoying the watch. Watches are meant to be worn not safe queens

No safe or garage queens in this house. They all have to earn there keep but they get treated very well...

The other night I polished the clasp of my Bluesy with my Cape Cod and it came out really nice. It took out most of the fine scratches and I was pretty pleased. The next day I wore it and it almost looks the same as it did before I polished it! Oh well...

I wear my watches for 90% of what I do. The 10% where I take it off eliminates 90% of the scratches. I’m just sensible about it and don’t wear it to work on my car engine, build rock walls, etc. Last week I wore my Sub hiking in the mountains though. I still have scratches on the watch and it has normal wear from everyday activities. Just like I have activities where I don’t wear my nicest clothes, I also have activities when I don’t wear my nice watches. Enjoying my watches 90% of the time is good with me.

My E2 is worn often and shows some signs of light abuse. I don't mind it as it is the most 'tooly' watch in my line up. I'm the only one who notices anyways. |

I wear mine as a daily and it shows. One of the forum members said I should clean it up. Yeah, right.

I wear my Pelagos with more gay abandon than my YG Sub. The titanium holds up quite well, moreso than YG. That said, the YG and other Rolexes aren't safe queens. They all get worn in rotation depending on my mood.
I am NOT a fan of PCL's. I wear the Daytona on a leather "racing" strap which looks great. The YG stays on the bracelet as that's part of the impact. When it needs servicing it will be polished. |

My Sub 14060 has tons of scratches and some dings on the lugs. It´s my daily watch, and has been since I bought it new in February 1996. Never been polished when serviced. I like its battered appearance. It keeps great time, and I bought it to wear it...
