these are being traded between grey dealers to artificially suggest demand is there at this inflated price, truly, we are in the 'delusion' stage of the Rolex bubble. Anyone holding a Rolex as 'an investment', the ice is starting to get rather thin

What I find interesting is that in this reference, the darker “bright blue” dial is kinda ‘meh’ to the market, with just an edge over the silver and black dials…but the same exact color dial is totally bonkers in the Skyd and very “desirable” in the DJ41…

That is very interesting...never thought about it, but you are right! Put the same exact dial into a Sky-Dweller and all of a sudden the dark blue is the rarest thing on earth and highly in demand.

I guess the bolder colors clearly trounce all else in the OP, but I wonder if the dark blue would the much more sought after in the OP if the wilder colors never were issued?

People are after the hype not the color.

Have to agree many of todays younger age whose sole information cupboard is in so called social media, Youtube etc .And many buy whatever social media dictates as being the greatest thing since sliced bread. Then they post and brag they have the latest in high demand thing, as so called social media have taken over there lives and the use of there brain power but hype sells watches to wear the hype.

I hope you are correct. I went to buy the 16618 I have wanted and realized prices tripled in 2 years. I took a little hiatus from the forum and hobby. Completely shut out from the market happenings. Came close to a heart attack when 17k became 35k over night.

I sold mine. Got $30k for it. Wore it just a couple of times and people ALWAYS noticed it. I liked that watch, but never loved it though. Been wanting to get a 126710BLNR, so I guess I'll get that from my AD. Or might try to get a ROO, if that's even remotely possible, without exorbitant grey prices.

Do not regret selling it at all. Made $24k and can buy a watch which I would probably love.

Unfortunately, the ROO situation is relatively bad now, too. Nothing makes sense anymore. There's no more sanctuary from the madness.

Well played! I got mine right around release date and when it immediately doubled I thought damn this thing will crash once supply increases. Oh well! Congrats to you!

AP new strategy is too on board new clients. I think you will have a better chance now. I suggest you go to boutique (not AD) and start a conversation/relationship.

Don't forget to pay your taxes on the gains :)

Don't blame you taking that amount of money for a watch you don't love though
