Tudor 9050
First time, long time.
Please help me confirm my suspicion: this purported Tudor Ranger 9050 was listed on the site of a very honest and dependable watch dealer (albeit one who I doubt knows the obscure ins and outs of vintage Tudors). Obviously, the hands are not original and I am 99.999999% certain it is a redial, as (1) I cannot find any history of blue Ranger 9050s, (2) I cannot find any Rangers blue, black or any reference number that have this combination of printing (Oyster Prince + Ranger with no “self winding” + the Tudor rose) and (3) the Tudor Rose upon close inspection looks to be a slightly different configuration than I’ve ever seen, although I have seen so many variations and I’m certainly not expert enough to rule it out. Anyway, as I mentioned, I’m quite certain this is a re-dial but I guess my curiousity is piqued because it’s quite a good redial in terms of technique but seemingly so bad in terms of historical accuracy. Can any experts here confirm my suspicions? Thanks so much. |
