Icon5 Cartier Roadster XL Chronograph

I’m being offered a SS Cartier Roadster XL Ref. 2618 for a good price; however the watch needs servicing and its metal bracelet is very worn/scratched. Any feedback on Cartier reliability? How expensive is a Cartier service and a full polish/detailing?

I have very limited knowledge on the Cartier brand, however I’ve always liked the Roadster model. Any feedback would be appreciated.

I have one for about 10 years. I had no issues so far. It’s an ETA movement. So any good watch guy can service and polish the bracelet. I think Cartier service is costly.

Thanks for your feedback Nick C. Does $3,000 seem reasonable for the watch with complete papers and box set?

I hope yours come with the strap. As well, but if not you can always buy one.

It's the perfect drivers watch. I've had for over 10 years and no issues.

Ok, I'll spill the secret... You can change the band out in less than 5 seconds. One watch that can give you any look you want.

Stainless steel band for anytime almost:

Black nylon band for sportier look:

Brown leather band for classier affairs:

Red alligator band to really change things up:

The watch comes included with 3 bands when you buy it.
