Somebody pumiced the lugs. I don't see anything glaringly fake but it's a pretty rough example. That visible springbar is bothersome. Need to see macros including serial + model between lugs and bracelet markings. Then maybe it could be a fixer upper for an extremely good price. Aftermarket crystal but that's about it - Not a deal breaker when you're talking rough-assed fixer upper Subs.

+1 (but it is at least an aftermarket crystal)

First, these photos aren't good enough for in internet diagnosis. The Crystal most likely has been replaced, hence the bad Mag on the date. it's been polished for sure and the bracelet looks really worn. I can't say it's fake, but it's not in great shape.

Quoted for Truth. There are a lot of unsubstantiated opinions in these threads and that gets in the way of the education these threads could potentially provide.

But I suppose muppets need a way of raising there post counts...

Kevin Jeweler's in California typically sells pre-owned Rolexes at local malls. They're almost always in pretty bad condition, usually have a ton of after market parts on them and are wildly overpriced. But, they give easy credit and, for a lot of people, they only know that it's "Rolex."

I'm guessing that this watch is from a similar type of store.

Exactly other than the crystal - how could you inspect this piece and call it a “fake” from the pictures given?
