I'm a bit disappointed that the "wanta watch" gag failed to achieve trajectory, though.

From the sound of the question, if you paid too much you have then you have the most "expensive" watch here. Paying full MSRP with 8.5% sales tax on an Air-King beats a Cosmograph at $10 off MSRP.

JJ has the most expensive Rolex here. He's bought each model at least twice over and still keeps buying and replacing the same ones.

Personally I think JJ should be knighted. (No pun intended). He, and others like him, is all a company could ever whish for. Loyal brand followers to the hilt. “Is there life after Rolex?”. I assume that some Rolex forums are watched by Rolex employees, perhaps to trap illegal fake trade. If you are: invite the man over to Geneva and give him the watch of his dreams, he has earned this by now, you skin flints!

When the present JJ with his honorary degree in Rolex & a watch, it would only be fitting if, say, Maria Scharapova (sp) did the honors.

You've got that right my Canadian friend! Just look at the box you get with a Sub! I know it is all window dressing and it's all about the watch but really... faux leather on cardboard, I tell you. Not a pearwood box like with a Panerai, nooooooo, too much trouble

I concur 100%.

I mean, yes you wear the watch... but look at the nice box (and extra strap and screw driver) you get with a Panerai. Look at the beautiful box you get with a Blancpain.

Rolex's crappy boxes have always been a sore point with me. For what they charge, you'd think a better box would be available with ALL their watches.

Do I detect a note of sarcasm in your comments, Frans?

Well, Rolex4EvEr has acknowledged the faux pas and more importantly, this thread's just too damned amusing. I'm going to leave it be.

Damned rich Dutchies. Hoard it all for themselves. Won't share with the rest of the impoverished world.
