Which Royal Oak Offshore 43?

Would choose the Rose gold or the steel with smoked dial?

Has anyone tried both models for comparison?

I haven’t tried the steel but own the rose gold and it’s a classic color. I really enjoy the heft as well and the new dials make the black dial very dynamic depending on how light hits it

The 44 mm RG resale grey price is a lot lower than the 43mm retail.
That’s a consideration for me imho

It’s not really a comparison as one is gold and 50% more expensive to buy. I think the only times it’s relative is when steel prices are so high in the grey market (Rolex in particular a couple of years back ) and gold watches don’t hold their value, that you can buy them for similar money.

As to your dilemma I tried on the gold, the blue dial and the taupe. All 3 of the new 43mm dials are quite special. Do mit was the taupe all the way as that dial is incredible. However if I’d had an extra £17,000 kicking about I wouldn’t have kicked the rose gold out of bed :-)

Where is this info coming from? The new RG is 56k USD. The current 44mm RG is selling for around 50k. That's considered "a lot" lower?

I think they are all great. I think it's more of a question of what's already in the watch box, what else (RG wise) is coming into the watch box to decide which color gets picked.

For example, if I already had Daytona OF Black dial RG case or Code RG Chrono with ceramic case, then I'd go for Taupe. If I didn't have any RG in the collect and also don't plan on getting RG ROC, then I'd get the ROO in RG.

As I have the RG I would go for black, hides the logo blob best, or taupe, but need to see it first.

This is what's in the box at the moment 😊

Pink Gold ROO 43

Titanium ROO 43

Steel (Taupe) ROO 43

You pays your money, and take your own choice!

I bought the Steel ROO 43 with the Taupe dial (as did Vivalas/Stephjen) and we both love our new watches from AP House.

I get the appeal of the rose gold 43mm completely but i prefer yellow gold. I have gone with the grey dial blue sub dials version. Versatile

Tough choice.. love the dynamic dial but might lean RG just a tad. Fwiw, I’m waiting and hoping for a grey blue Ti.

They are all amazing. But since you have the Daytona go with the Taupe.
