Mine's a white face with roman numerals, fluted bezel and jubilee bracelet. A classic if there ever was one!!!

Always been partial to Rolex's with roman numerals.

I considered the silver but there was not enough contrast with the SS so I decided to go white. Then I saw the black and said hmmm. . .

In the end, I went white as I already had a plethora of black dials:

Yeah white with Romans is hard to beat. I have it in black but I might change to white come service time. Problem is I like them both!

Lots of great ones shown but Silver Stick is my favorite. Might be my favorite watch, period. Patek 5296 and 5127 is pretty good too ;-)

Black its easier to tell time on a black dial with wg or SS hands and markers. Also the color contrast makes things interesting.

Blue vs Black for Datejust II

Guys,

I have just found this forum and joined. I am about to buy a 41mm Datejust II and am contemplating either the blue tick or black tick dial. My last nice watch (an AP Royal Oak Chrono) was a white dial, so I eliminated white and silver wanting a change. I have looked at the other options and they do not appeal to me.

My question is, which is dressier, the blue or the black? I intend to wear this watch to the office everyday (suits and jackets environment) plus to business meetings as well as with black tie during the holidays ahead. It has to span all those occasions and function thus.

Thanks for your help and consideration. I have found this forum a great resource in learning about the brand.
