Code 1159

Im interested in buying a code three hander, I feel it would be a nice addition to my collection of royal oaks. What's your guys opinion on the code?

Saw them pretty recently at the 57th Street Boutique, personally not the biggest fan. Just think there are better options for the money

I agree with this. If they weren’t APs, I wouldn’t have given them a second look and would not have made the effort to try to like them.

As it is, I’m still not a buyer - but will consider then if the dials are improved

If you love it then buy it. :)

But having seen them in the metal 2 weeks ago, I was very under whelmed and it did not get my engine going at all.

I don't like buying what I can always see in an AD these days.

If you love it why not! However, in that category there are so many great options. I personally would go with another brand for a 3 hand dress watch.

If you like it, go for it. They’re not for me, but I don’t dislike them. Negotiate 25% discount.

The complicated models are out this world nice. The chrono and 3 hander need a little work although I would consider a white dial at the right price.

The case construction and movement is world class as one would expect from AP.

(Ps I own the Code QP and move it death)

I'm waiting on new dials, see what they come out with for 2020. Case 8/10, movement 10/10, 2019 dial 0/10.

Checked it out at the boutique. I think it shows better in person than pics but it's still not good

That would be a good buy for sure but I don't think that's possible.

AP just released another model of the 11.59 limited to 99 pieces (BOLSHOI). My honest opinion, it looks really nice but the price point is $41,300. The only difference I see is the enamel dial (used in the MRS & tourbillon compared to the lacquered dial versions.
Would you guys say this is an improvement /beginning of an evolution ?

Now this looks nice. But the price point is another story.

Seen in person and can’t get past the dials and illegibility of the time only and chrono models

This was a charity auction but the two toned openwork hammered for more than CHF1m!

Are they going to start an Omega-like limited edition for all the markets possible? Pls stop. Really like the 1159 though. Loved the case.

I tried on the Bolshoi edition in the boutique here in Moscow. It really is beautiful, but I would struggle to justify the price. If you really like the code 1159 the. I think the black dial looks good in the metal. Again though, at that price point it feels like a miss.
