First post at TRF, question about GMT
Hey all,
So I am fairly new to this site as I have been lurking for a few weeks now as I look for my first Rolex, a GMT 1675. I am looking for a head only on a NATO or leather strap but my question is should I just buy one on a Rolex bracelet. I am curious if I will have a tough time trading or selling it down the road (hopefully never) if it is just on a NATO. I don't mind paying a little extra for one on a bracelet if that will make it easier to pass on later. Let me know what you think. |

I personally prefer to buy my watches with the bracelet and have the option of changing it out myself. I would think there are other people out there like me so it would make it easier to sell if you have a complete set.

You always want to buy the watch with Bracelet if you can. Sourcing one later usually turns out to be much more expensive. This way, you can always put it on strap. Should you decide to sell, you will likely do much better if you have the bracelet.

Agree with both.
However, you can save some $ buying the head only.

Buy the bracelet. Personally there is no way I would consider buying a watch without it. If you like the strap fine. Many do not. You will have a limited amount of people that would buy a watch without the bracelet.

yes it would make it a bit easier to sell down the line with a bracelet, then just a the head of the watch. You can also buy a bracelet down the line for it.

Thanks for the quick replies! I appreciate the feedback and will probably shift my search for a full set GMT and purchase some NATO's on my own.
