I have a couple more of the watch, taken with the same lens but not exactly “macro” photos. I’ll post them in a bit.

Canon 5D MK4
Canon EF 100m 2.8mm Macro
Canon On camera Speedlight Flash
For the wide shot of the clasp I used a 24mm probe lens

Shot handheld pretty much slamming the flash off the wall next to me (don’t want direct light)

That’s pretty much it.

There something very special about that PP rotor. It's got a creamy latte art aesthetic to it that is very pleasing.

Good job.
Have you seen this? Describes how to get your reflection out of the pic.

That’s a great article. One time when I was shooting 5 watches, I put a broom stick through a pair of black pants, rested it on the back of my head somehow, so I could block out the reflection and glare across 5 watches, which is much more difficult than one.

It looked ridiculous haha.

Here’s another pic I took the same day...

Thanks for sharing. Now I want a macro lens. I guess my iPhone macro attachment won't do

Superb! Always thought the movement/rotor was a bit on the simple side but these macros really bring the piece to life.
