I have had a few issues with RSC as well. Not with RSCNY though. My wifes midsize is currently at RSC Dallas. We requested that the watch not be polished, so I am curious whether or not they will follow that request and whether or not there will be damage to her watch that she did not put there.

When the time comes I will use an independent certified Rolex watchmaker, someone like Bob Ridley!

The Rolex SA (international warranty) specifically states that all that is required for warranty service is the watch + the warranty card with no mention of a receipt. RSC NY is listed as authorized for warranty service in the RSA warranty book. Under the terms of the international warranty, RSC NY cannot require a receipt.

That being said, RSC Dallas does not require a receipt. RSC NY will not provide warranty service unless the requestor's name is on the warranty card. RSC Dallas will.

As my favorite NHL hockey coach Bernie "Boom Boom" Geoffrion (RIP) would have said, "No doubt about it, Jiggs. Who knows?"

What issues have you experienced?

Frustrating to say the least.

Where was your watch purchased?

This was my experience with the NYC RSC with an internationally purchased watch.

Not sure this is always the case. I had the bracelet on my now-departed Sub-C fixed under warranty at the RSC in NYC and my name wasn't on the card. Regarding the receipt issue, just say the watch was a gift and that you don't have a receipt.

It seems what NYC requires depends on the specific rep you get.
