All brands are shedding value. In the end this will be great news for true enthusiasts.

Not necessarily. I think enthusiasts will appreciate less games and shorter wait times at AD’s. I am looking forward to a return to more authentic AD relationships.

I think all are not moving much nowadays. Not just AP or VC. Even Patek and Rolex have stopped moving compared to 2021/2022.

I think waiting, exclusivity, rarity etc are all part of the game of "collectible/investable" watch hobby. So I accept that without spending millions, I'm not gonna get my hands on the best or most exclusive and all that, they should go to the best customers I get that. What I dislike is the mind games, like "oh you might, you might not, maybe 6 years wait..." or whatever. Like just tell me flat out no, but work with me, what can I get then? etc We can enjoy this hobby at any price point I know I'm not entitled to anything, its a luxury product. So hopefully with the downturn, we can have a more "Real" relationship with our ADs/Sales consultants.

^^^ this.

Of course we wish for better times than during the Asian crisis in the 1990s, and that whole 2008 bankster fiasco. Though yes, getting back to historic norms would be very welcome after the recent (yet another unstable) major financial fiasco.

Still, if things get really bad am sure we'll see more 'free money' given away and so the whole circus will once again commence. It's really all normal for their system. Like timepieces, the key is in your timing :)
