YG Sub Papers ?

Was given a 2000 model year YG Sub by father-n-law for Christmas. Unfortunately no box and papers. He tosses which drives me crazy. Is it worth me buying a box and sending off to get serviced at an RSC just to have it documented for potential future resale? Seems that is very helpful for resales or is it easier just to drop the price a little on an unserviced watch.Lastly does anyone know a source for manuals?

Best!

Check ebay for manuals and i would suggest getting a box for it and have it serviced.

box is very important..it cost $150-200 of the price of the watch...but you dont need to have the box to have it serviced..but it helps...because they will put it in their serviced rolex box when its done..

Maybe get it serviced, but I wouldn't pay for a box nor a manual , I mean the manual you put in the box and the box in the cellar and wount see them again for x years ...right?

No... It makes no sense to go out and get a box for your Sub "just in case".

The YG Sub, especially one 10 years old such as yours, is not a highly sought after piece and prices will be averaged out by condition. "Papers" or a box will have absolutely no impact on a price for this piece.

What will impact the price is condition..... Spend the 600 bucks to get it overhauled by Rolex and you will have a great marketing advantage; a watch in top condition, with a service box and service papers...the best of all worlds.

But still, a YG Sub is a difficult item to sell... So, get it serviced because you like the watch and want to wear it (and it needs it) and not because you think it might help a resale at "some future date"..
