Photos of my watches part 1

At last I have all the Photographic gear needed to start taking proper photos of my beloved watch collection. I have been asked by Forum members to show photos of my watches and thought I would start with the Speedmaster Opollo-Soyuz Meteorite as there has been threads on this watch recently. Its not an easy one to photograph due to the texture of the dial. The others in my collection should be a lot easier I hope. Alan

That is the nicest Speedmaster I have seen, I love the dial. If you didn't know the patterns on the dial are styled after Widmanstätten patterns found octahedrite meteorites and some stony-iron meteorites (I was a geology major sorry!)

Hello John. Thank you so much for that snippet of information. I am very grateful to you for that. Really love learning something new almost everyday here.TFF is a Great place to be. I have a few days holiday to take before Christmas so I have set up a mini photo studio to take my watch photos and will take a few more tomorrow, probably my latest acquisition the Speedmaster Cal 9300. Thanks to everyones very kind comments on the Opollo, sorry the Apollo, they mean alot to me.

I have just read that the dial is made from a real meteorite that's pretty cool!
