Strap goodness
Went crazy and ordered 3 straps in very close succession. I think I might be strapped out for the next while!
Anyhow, got a couple from GSD and one from Micah. I killed my camera taking it for a swim, so iphone (4 only) pics will have to do.... First up, GSD Gustav. Tapering slightly from 27 to 24. Running this with very little tail. Second, GSD Black horween. Smooth, flexible, nice and thin and bulletproof. Also 27x24 for a semi-neat look. Third is a bit special. Metta Catherina from Micah. This strap (well the leather at least) is well over 200 years old. And the smell is fantastic. Great texture too. That is all. Now go get yourself more straps. You know you need to. Greg |

i would be interested in hearing your thoughts on the metta strap.....ignoring the historical connection, how is the strap itself? color, feel, texture, etc... |

Great bunch of straps there, all three truly compliment the watch.
The two brown ones especially. Thanks for sharing the goodness. Cheers Richard |

Metta Catherina is of the most beautiful I've seen. Most straps I see are "dead" looking, if u know what I mean. This one has depth, as is only one of Mario Paci's and one Ted Su Swiss Ammo.

The color is a very deep brown. It looks almost artificial. It goes very well with a black dial and makes gold hands absolutely pop. In terms of feel - it is very similar in thickness and feel to the GSD ammo. It is about 4 mm thick, bends relatively easily, but is not floppy. The interesting thing is the smell. Smells very different to the other leathers and the OEM smell comparitvely seems dead. I got this one tapered 27x22 and made to OEM dimensions. It will look as good in 27x27 though. Greg |

After looking and looking and... My Conclusion is that the OEM on the 372 makes u unable to find anything better and worth $200! Except maybe Ted Su's Swiss!
And this one... http://www.manifatturefirenze.it/hom...t/67/idart/175 |

Nice straps Greg. I really like the first one, accentuates the beauty of the watch IMHO.

A very dangerous loop! It does after all involve wives, school fees, rent etc etc.. those very secondary things!

Beautiful watch- the gold hands on that dial, and the simplicity.
I think the different colour straps give the watch a subtly different look. Also 50 straps!!!! Eeeek! I feel better now just ordered two yesterday..... |
