Thought I would throw this out there, over a year out.

If any TRF members are making plans to visit Minneapolis for Super Bowl LII in February 2018, was thinking we could do a small get together. Nothing like Las Vegas, but if several members were to be in town, I could make a reservation (while it's still possible) at one of the downtown restaurants.

Looks like 10 days of activities are being planned prior to the game on Feb. 4th. It would likely have to be on a Friday, as everything will be booked on Saturday, Feb 3rd. I would likely need a lot of advance notice to find a venue close to the action. If some were coming in early, we could do it a few days prior to game, also.

Anyone planning on attending? Thanks.

If the Steelers are in I am in also but I won't be going to see the Patriots win number 6!

Oh and yes once again I pick them pre-season. What a stretch on my part!

PS I love Minneapolis and have spent a lot of time there. Murray's my favorite steak house!

So here's the deal. Security at this Super Bowl is at historic levels. Local FBI office likens it to a Presidential inauguration. Snipers on roofs a week before hand, that sort of thing.

So the thought of going downtown, as I originally envisioned, is out the question do to security and the number of corporate events taking place in a small metro, taking all the venues that i had interest in.

Far flung suburbs would offer options, but that won't work logistically or stylistically. So while I floated the idea earlier, not likely to be able to find any suitable site. Thought I should update. I never anticipated the number of venues being sucked up by the NFL, corporations, etc.

And being a Packers fan in MN, please, please, let ANY team other than the Vikings win this thing!
