Thinking about getting another Speedy...

I’ve owned a couple Speedies over the years. They never really stuck around. I’m feeling the itch for a Speedy Pro again. I prefer it on the black croc. Any advice?

I am in the same boat as you. I will go sapphire sandwich this time and keep it forever. I think I will buy it on the bracelet and get straps. The smart buy is to always buy a watch on the bracelet, cheaper to buy the strap later.

I'm all for it. I'll include a photo for encouragement. My Speedmaster Pro has been on its bracelet lately, but my favorite way to wear it is on the OEM black crocodile strap and deployant, with its classic taper down to 16mm at the clasp. I think the black bezel and that black strap go great together, adding a small dab of additional elegance to go with the watch's sportiness...

Why did they never stick around ? Sounds like you were never really satisfied with it, in which case maybe best to scratch the itch with something else

If no deep love for the straight Pro, you could hunt around for some unique-looking limited edition.
