How many of you guys here, also own a Panerai ...

Until recently, I was a dedicated Panerai fan. Then I fell i love with 114060. It has been on my arm since a got it a month back

It was difficult to get used to the small bracelet, compared to Panerai’s wider straps, but i’m getting there ...

Let my hear your experiences/opinions on this. Thanks

Have a Pam 88 also...great watch love it. One thing I dont like as much is the width of the strap on the Pam. After a few minutes you forget about it.

I have two Panerai watches in my collection and will likely keep them both as they are two of my favorites. I personally can’t see not having them although I don’t wear them nearly as often as I do my Rolex’s.

Panerai are nice watches. They are not as hot as they used to be but when you put it on your wrist you miss how beautiful they are.

I own a 512. It’s the only watch in my collection I wear on leather strap.
It’s simple and clean and at 42mm wears great for me.

I started with Rolex more than 25 years ago and found Panerai in the early 2000's. I have owned several over the years and have always liked the brand and the look/wear. I got mad/disappointed at the brand after they with held watches and only did LE's that you could not get your hands on. Sound familiar, except the LE part. Got out but always liked. Several years ago I stepped back in with the 422, added a 389 and a 690. Three maybe too many to wear as much as I would like in a 12-15 watch collection. I am happy for now though.

I have thought about getting one to wear just to have a great strap watch....but have yet to pull the trigger.

I think my Pam is my most scratch proof watch.

Love it.

It’s a PAM48.

Before they introduced the 38 mm Pams this was the smallest. Then they discontinued it in maybe 2012? And all they had was I believe the 312 at 42 mm.

While I lift a lot I can’t get my wrists beyond 7.5 and I just think the smaller Pam looks awesome.

Love the brand and the history. I only own one, but everytime I strap it on I remember why I bought it.

It's easy for me to switch back and forth from 40mm to this 47. I adjust to the size almost immediately.

Do you guys have some sort of “rules” when to wear a Panerai, and when to wear a Rolex?

Before Rolex, I dabbled in a variety of brands; unfortunately, never got around to picking up a Panerai.

Panerai makes nice watches, but I’ll be sticking with Rolex.

For many years Panerai was my main focus. About 6 years ago I got i to Rolex which is now much more the mainstay. Still really like Panerai as they are so unique. Great history and design DNA. I am niw down to these. Panerai and Rolex makes for a great blended collection.

Had a 392 for a few years. Great watch really. Looked cool, fun to wear. Had to sell it to help fund other things but would like another some day.

Very happy to see so many nice Pam’s - and it also convinced me, that it’s perfectly ok to have/wear both brands

For me it sort’s of “completes the history circle” with Rolex movements in the historic Pam’s

my path is similar to you. i got a 114060 as my first luxury watch, then a pam 524 and a SD43. then i sold the 114060 for a hulk. keep the pam as it gives a bit of variety to my collection.

That is a Panerai 911. SE model commemorative piece which was the last collaboration between then CEO of Panerai and the Paneristi folowing. Really a nice watch with a dark olive dial that changes color and character depending on light conditions. I am very happy to own one.

Too bad this was moved to the Panerai topic as it will get much less attention here.

Very nice 911 - looks like a 422 in this picture

Totally agree about moving this thread
