Too much stretch on super jubilee ?

Hello fellow members
This is a 5 year old date just with a super jubilee bracelet.
Just wanted to show that they do stretch quite a bit with use.
So basically all jubilee bracelets are going to stretch after a while, but this one seems to have quite a bit of stretch in it for 5 years only.
What do you guys think?

All comments are appreciated.

Yeah looks more streteched out than i’d think. Perhaps previous owners wore it out with use

I didn’t realize the super jubilee stretched that much. My wife’s date just two tone is from 08 and it’s still tight.

I’ve seen quite a few newer jubilees in similar condition. IMO they stretch exactly the same as the older ones.

They look more stretched because there are many more linking points at which it can stretch. The clasp takes out all those places to wear and stretch.

Looks the case to me.

It's a shame because i love the way they look but it's something that really bothers me.

The thing about the new bracelets is that they are repaired by replacing the ceramic and pins. Not the same as with the older jubilees.

How loose were you wearing this? Using your little finger between the clasp and your wrist. Tight, average, some room.

My dad has worn a dj on super jubilee from new for just over 5 years and it’s pretty much as new. I also have a DJ on super jubilee which i barely wear and it’s certainly as new and indistinguishable from his. This is using the head hold test as you have done.

He does have quite large wrists however and it was always worn tight

But the metal actually is worn inside the link, so the whole link/bracelet still needs to be replaced still is my understanding, so how do they repair it?

Jubilees always sag more than the Oyster. There are more links to add to the slack in between them.

this is no way to "check" a Jubilee.

Does not look bad at all. Even new they would show some slope because of the smaller links

It doesn't seem too bad to me. For what I remember, even when new my Jubilés were quite the same.

Looks ok to me. The farther you stretch it out the worse it looks. Clasp closed looks perfectly normal.

Looks fine to me, jubilees are born with ‘stretch’

I was offered a 72600 oyster bracelet in decent condition for about $1000, should I consider that? And have both bracelets for this watch?

This is a 6 month old SKX ...

The thing about "stretch" that noone talks about is just how comfortable they are

This is my Jubilee of my Datejust. It's 31 years old. What do you think?

If you never bother cleaning the bracelet, this kind of stretch is gonna happen rather sooner than it should.
This can be one of the causes.

I think for 5 years it looks a bit stretched. Should be tighter than that I think for such a newish watch.

Michael Young would be the repair path imho. I've not seen that case however. So the ceramic abraded the outer metal. Makes sense but this is the first I've heard it happening. Also it would depend on the amount of wear. I don't do Jubilee bracelets.

Safe queen means the owner hardly wears it. Your bracelet has almost no stretch.
