Opinions on this 6694 please?
Hi everyone, I'm new to vintage Rolexes but found this 6694 with a tropical dial that I quite like. Seller (brick and mortar store) says its a 1963. I have not asked him to open up the case back so have not seen the movement, and have not checked the lugs for the reference and serial numbers. Bracelet is marked 7205. Are the end links correct?
I found a couple of 6694s (last two photos) with the same markers as a comparison. I believe the one that I'm interested in has lost its lume from behind the markers. Based on what little I know from trawling online for photos and info, it looks legit to me but would like to hear from you guys before I part with my money...! Thank you all in advance. |

yep it's legit and the dial/hand/bracelet combo is correct for that year. the acrylic crystal is a replacement but that's sort of expected given the age of the watch.

Thank you very much. Do you reckon any work has been done to the dial, given the lume is missing? And if so, to what extent would that affect the price/value of the watch?
