Scammer Alert
I recently posted a WTB for a no date sub and was contacted via email by someone posing as ponycar350. He even had the email address - ponycar350@mail.com.
He forwarded some pics and offered a great price on the watch I really wanted. He then contacted me by text via a number that was not able to be called and sent me a PP address that didn't seem right. Prior to buying I contacted Jared via PM and found out that the person I was dealing with was not him but a scammer. I got lucky in this instance but others may be fooled by an offer that is too good to be true. Last edited by CAPTSHOE; 10 December 2016 at 05:09 AM.. Reason: Wrong spelling of members username. |

Contacted via Email, or the PM system here at TRF? I don't see a posted email in your WTB thread...

Email, not sure how they got it as I don't remember sending it to anyone that vaguely resembles the description.
Found it strange that they also refused to answer some very simple questions about the watch. Last edited by CAPTSHOE; 10 December 2016 at 05:10 AM.. Reason: Additional text. |
