Fake or Real Deepsea Sea-Dweller D-Blue 116660

Hi,

I'm interested in a DSSD D-Blue that's for sale here locally. I've noticed there are fakes on the market though, and they're unfortunately getting harder to identify. Can someone tell me if this is a fake or real one? I'm also having a jeweler open it up just in case.

Thanks!

I also noticed the warranty card had a client no. of 931. I couldn't find a reference to this high of a client no. but perhaps this exists now?

Thanks!

I have my doubts about this one. Doesn't look like typical Rolex quality to me.

The box print quality and crown, bracelet clasp and different color of HE valve versus inner back case, causes me concern

Thanks guys!

I just received the serial # from him, which funnily enough does not match the serial # and client # I saw in a picture he sent me earlier this week.

The serial # he just sent me is: V646829. I googled that and it's well known as a FAKE number :)

Thanks for helping verify that and saving me a big headache!

Quick follow-up question: Should I let the seller know it's a fake?

you have a duty to tell us the seller and venue --- and then have an army tell them its fake.

Thanks everyone - it is on craigslist here locally in Denver. I contacted the seller, but he still claims it's real. He says he's had it verified by 2 jewelers.

But the serial # and sentiment here points in the other direction :)

See the ad here: http://denver.craigslist.org/jwl/5879835851.html

I've flagged it, but it's still there.

Thanks again!

Fooled me...I'm new to Rolex.

I also inquired about this a couple weeks back asking about warranty and papers. Never heard back.

I posted the other day whether to buy New or Pre-owned. SS Submariner w/d
so I decided after doing a poll...decided new

so I was looking online...got a few places to look per members here...but after reading all this..im thinking of just going to a AD...here in Fort Worth...less problems or worries...
