I think I am not gonna go with the diamonds anymore.
My next question, for dressing casually and sometimes in a suit. Should go with black or blue dial? I do want the fluted bezel but should I get the Jubilee or Oyster bracelet?
Thank you.

I sure hope ordering from a restaurant menu is easier for you.

Kidding aside, try them on, with and without diamonds, black dial and blue dial, jubilee and oyster.

If you are even second guessing if you want diamonds, I would not get them. I would only go with diamonds if you were 1000% sure that is what you wanted. Otherwise, high chance of diamond fatigue and it's a tough piece to move on the secondary market.

I personally strongly believe all DJs should come fluted with a jubilee. I would never buy one without that make up. But it's all preference.

As far as a blue vs black dial, it depends. Do you have other black dial watches? I think the blue is gorgeous but will be slightly less versatile than the black.

Yea, I am on the fence of to jubilee or not to jubilee. I do have a blue dial Omega, but the blue on the DJ is also nice. Decisions, decisions..

Great what speaks to you. My uncle has a DD36 YG with diamonds for the markers and it's gorgeous.

Question - how much should you expect to save buying from gray market or from one of the vendors here that lists in the classifieds such as OC Rolex, Davidws and Takuya and such? If you are only saving $1000 USD from gray market, would you just buy from a Rolex AD instead?

I'm looking to get the DJ41, fluted bezel with jubilee bracelet. How much should I expect to pay for new condition?

I’ve the DJII with MOP and diamonds I get compliments from people who don’t notice watches. If this is your “dress watch” then diamonds.

I think the rhodium dial DJ41 with diamonds looks superb. I went for the safer bet in the end and got a blue dial non diamonds fluted. I thought correctly that I would wear it more often than a diamond dot watch. All the non-diamond advice makes sense logically. However every time I see that rhodium and diamonds combination, I get a big twinge of regret. One day my heart will rule my head, I’m just not there yet!

I understand the hesitancy to wear diamonds... I mean this watch is pretty blingy to begin with given the fluted bezel +jubilee... it does look like a million bucks. The diamonds add to that but minimally. And yes it won’t hold value...if you are contemplating this watch, you should know that...

But if you are wearing this watch you really have to be comfortable in your own skin... it’s really shiny with or without diamonds. Everyone notices. It has more presence even vs the gold day date.

So diamonds are minimal enhancement.

It’s not my dress watch. Everywhere is casual these days.

Not sure u need to go grey market on this. Unless you wanted to

Hope this helps

The discount at the AD, they are offering to pay for tax that's it. Gray market I would save less than $1000. My question is, which would be ideal? How much money should you be saving from gray market, for you to justify not to buy from an AD?

Depends on the type of material you choose for the most part. At my AD they are charging sticker price, so the white gold ones 10,800 CAD, yellow: 14,550 CAD, and rose: 14,900 CAD and these prices are all with fluted and jubilee with none diamond markers.

You can shop around at different AD’s The guy in Boston got like 19% he said.i can’t confirm it. But you should shop around a bit. You could save urself a little more than just the taxes. All of them will ship out of state to save taxes

I never buy from grey dealers... that’s just a personal preference. Nothing wrong with it
