Depends..... What other watches do you have? Thinking of fluted or smooth bezel, Jubilee or oyster? I think it looks great with and without diamonds - depends on your personal style

Personal choice , if I’m going to pay extra for diamonds I’ll just use that extra to get the next model up the ladder.

Your watch, your taste, your call.

If you like the way it looks and makes you have a bigger smile, get it.

Personally I would go for no diamonds but that's just me. Get whatever ones you love and don't think about resale value or what anyone else thinks.

For me the DJ41 Black is such a versatile watch, from formal wear to very casual/sporting. The addition of diamonds pretty much removes it from the casual/sporting scene. I say No.

Always this! It’s your watch, what you like is of paramount importance.

It’s a personal think. I don’t like them on men’s watches so no for me. But that might be yes for you. It’s purely personal taste. Fluted and jubilee is already pretty flashy so the addition of diamonds probably wouldn’t even make it that much flashier. On an oyster bracelet I’d say no.

Datejust 41 black with or without diamonds?

There‘s nothing inherently wrong/tasteless about an iced up DJ but IMO it takes a certain kind of guy with a certain kind of look to pull it off. If you are that kinda guy, more power to you and by all means go for it. That said, if you have to ask for validation on internet forums then I’d say it probably isn’t for you, but I may be wrong on that (i.e. you aren’t seeking public approval) though so yeah, like others have said - your call.

I’m not a fan of diamonds for a guy’s watch. Just my opinion.

I have owned both in the Date Just II. Currently I have the diamonds on the Rhodium dial. I like it a lot.

I don’t like diamonds on a watch.

But that’s because I’m a lume freak. Diamonds mean no lume.

Datejust 41 black with or without diamonds?

So has the 116622 been ruled out from the previous threads you started?

If so - and if the DJ41 will be your sole watch - then I’d suggest the stick dial you showed in one of those threads. My reason is it would be more versatile.

For example, diamonds at work signal different things in some companies.

If you have several watches then the diamonds should be your personal taste alone.

Buy what you like, but if you may sell it later then you will probably loss more on the diamond version

I prefer no diamonds. The other plus (of no diamonds) is that if you ever want to flip it, the target market will be larger.

I'm a stick dial fan, so there's my answer.

I think diamonds look best when they mimic the shape of the original plots, like the round diamonds on a sub/GMT or baguettes on a DD/Platona. Just my two cents.

Hello. You are correct, I am not interested in the 116622 anymore. :)
However, on the DJ41 looks like I have more options to explore so I had to ask the question.
I am looking for versatile because I like to dress casually more often.
Since you guys have more experience than me, I needed some helping hands.

I’m right there with you

The diamond markers on the Platona are really well done.
