Authentication.

Forgive me for the post, a bit paranoid and a newbie rolex collector. Managed to source a daytona a month ago. The price was fair (not to good to be true) and everything was very transparent.

Watch was shipped to me directly from AD in US , came fully stickered, and my local watch maker said everything looks perfect. Card is under my name the whole 9 yards.

However, I am used to purchases in person stores and always feel a bit paranoid about internet purchases. Since i dont want to void the warranty and open the watch wanted to

Here are more pics. I researched the AD on the card and they appear on the rolex website as an authorized retailer. Also tracked the fedex package and it was shipped from the same location as AD located in US.

If it’s from an AD then why are you worried? You sure it was an AD right?

Wait. From AD? I don’t get it — what’s the issue?

Same here. OP, what kind of relationship do you have with this AD? Not only am I surprised you found a SS Daytona but also that they were willing to ship it to you. Why the concern with authenticity, if purchased from an AD?

I doubt it came from an AD, maybe a gray seller

Bezel doesn't look aligned properly in the pics. I think you have grounds for concern. Need more details re seller/AD. Superclones exist, ask Chris Essery @HorologyHouse

There’s nothing wrong with the OPs watch. It’s genuine.

Don’t wear it with pushers unscrewed though, I’d also not run the chrono when your wearing it, it’s not meant to be run constant.

I think OP dealt with a gray dealer, whom through contacts had the AD ship the watch directly to him. Have had that happen to me in the past. Think he is just asking for authentication and extra validation.

This is correct. The person who helped me had several references and everything checks out. Just wanted to quadruple check with you guys. Took it to a watch maker who told me to relax, said it wasn't worth opening the case back.

There are several videos on comparing a fake to a real one. Maybe you can check it out.
