Hi Guys,

I'm new here, and didn't find any other place to ask the question, so apologies in case it's not the right topic!

I'm trying to join the club as a Datejust owner, and actually have a question on the fluted bezel. The current (new) model seems to only have the fluted bezel come in white gold.

Has there ever been any fluted bezels of stainless steel?

Any help is much appreciated!
Paul

A truly versatile watch that I'm sure most enthusiasts would agree. I love my 16014 and if I never buy another Rolex, I would be satisfied because of the DJ.

I can't say with any certainty, but as far as I know the fluted bezel only comes in white gold and the engine turned bezel in steel. Hope that helps?

Really beautiful works of art! I’m adding another special piece to my collection, but wondering ... the 1601 in question has a none lumed set of hands. No lume on the dial too, so I guess is as expected. Has there been a discussion of this model watch, ie. 1601 with lumed vs none lumed hands / dials?

Totally agree. The DJ is just so dang clean and classic. Here’s mine, TT blue dial. I get misty when I look at it.

See my post just above. Mine is a rare wideboy with no lume.

My 17013. A bit of an oddity with deep Genta roots.

Wow I started this thread back in 2011 and have not logged in much since. Amazing it has still been going until recently! Shows there is a lot of love for the humble DJ. I am wearing the same one at the start of the thread today and despite having several watches its settled as my daily wearer.
