It is a convoluted setup for a bracelet for sure.

Can my setup be improved if I take it to a watch repairer?

They should be able to adjust it for you, doesn't look like there's anything wrong with yours.
I just got one and couldn't figure it out at first either, I stopped by a Rolex AD with it and the sales guy had no clue. |

It looks like the divers extension is partially open.

Regarding the section I have circled.. which is my query. In YouTube reviews of this model none of their bracelets seem to be “apart” like mine is. Only regarding the circled section.

There is all chance I’m an idiot.
Anyway.. here goes. [IMG][/IMG] Regarding my circled section in the original post.. It looks like diagram #1 When I see people with this same watch, they pick up there watch and gravity takes over, it appears like diagram #2 I am wondering if the two parts of the bracelet should be held flush with each other? If people think my bracelet is completely normal, it answers my question :) |

It’s not locked into the diver extension.

The second sheet metal link doesn't snap in like the dive extension does, but it can remain lightly tucked in against the spring bar. It doesn't take much for it to swing out like yours.

Do you have a pix of the clasp when you are wearing the watch?
I will compare it to my 14060M.

While I was at the AD the sales guy was amazed at what people pay for the 14060M when you can get a new ceramic monstrosity for the same price. He looked at me like, "Why would you want to do that?" I refrained from saying, "Let me count the ways."

Your first photo doesn't load for me - but I think you're totally fine.
Sidenote, the 14060M is in another class to the new ceramic. I had both for a short time to be sure. Sold the 124060. Here are some photos of mine: Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

The part of the extension that is hanging open can be adjusted a little to stay closed. Like the clasp blades. At the moment it is a little too "short"; that is a little too curved. If you gently flex it a bit against the curve, it should get fractionally longer and click into place better behind the springbar that attaches the dive extension to the clasp.

For me nothing wrong with the first pic. Looks exactly like mine.
Not sure why the other posters are saying it should be fixed |
