The new watch feels more solid. I think that impression comes mainly from the bracelet. Vintage flat link bracelets are somewhat delicate and fragile. The new watch also wears quite a bit heavier on the wrist. The sapphire crystal is nice, but it doesn’t have the warmth of the hesalite crystal.

Overall, the vintage watch feels more special to wear. The new watch captures the style and beauty of the original, but is much better suited to daily wear.

thanks for your thoughts.

I've been down the vintage road and it just wasn't for me. They do indeed have charm and beauty

The new 321 also feels different to wind. There’s more resistance compared to the vintage 321, 861 and 1861 Speedies I own.
