Owning a 58 & 54

Hi forum members,

Just curious... Can the BB58 & BB54 coexist together? Does anyone have both? If not, do you think they could coexist?

If one owned a blue or sterling BB58, having both would be fine, but I have the black BB58, so I think I should choose. Having thought about it, I’m keeping my 58. I like the bezel and larger crown, and especially the red triangle. I read that the bracelet for the 54 can be used on the 58, by simply swapping in the 58 bracelet end links, so I am considering buying the bracelet for the 54, to have the nicer clasp. I have a good fit though, with the US half link, so that might be a waste of money.

Does owning two dive watches really make any sense?
You already pasted the point of no return. Buy what you like.

Any watches can co-exist if you want them to. There is overlap but there is overlap in 95% of the collections on here….maybe more.

I think if your wrist is 6.5 or less the 54 is Tudor perfection. I wouldn’t personally buy both but I’d definitely be interested in the 54 if my wrist was smaller and I already own a 114060.

I think they're both great watches, but if your BB58 is black, it's somewhat redundant, since once the gilt fades the bezel looks fairly similar (and identical to that of the BB41 Black).

If your BB58 is blue, not so much.

Adam has a great pair of the original BB watches and they work perfectly because of the different colour schemes.

I think they are duplicative and would not own both. But I guarantee you I could convince myself that they're not duplicative if I really wanted both!

It’s like owning two of the same things/producr. Like a duplicate, it makes no sense.

A blue 58 and a 54 could easily co-exist in a collection. I have a 124060, a 54 and a FXD. Three no-dates makes really no sense but they all fill their purposes in my collection and I´ve learned to live without a date window :)

I think they can but as mentioned, I'd get a different color for the 58. A blue 58 with a 54 works well in my opinion.

Owning a 58 & 54

I had a look on the new BB54 and I had my black BB58 on.. they look too similar, even more the BB58 is more interesting to look at because of that red triangle

Sure, why not. Both great watches and different enough that for a collector it would be enough to justify the purchase should you choose. I had let my Tudor collection get a little out of hand with 17 different models but now I am down to 10. On the road to 2-4. Tudor has made me take my eye off the ball for other manufacturers but they are great watches.

if it's two different colour or metal, then it's okay.......why not?
