Grit for AP case/bracelet brushing
Anyone have any luck doing their own small imperfection on their case, or bracelet? I'm wondering what grit is used?

I wouldn’t do this now however I have in the past. I’d just leave it to AP tbh.
I used 3M 800 grit wet/dry and finished over with 3M 6000 Trizact which was good but I’m guessing there’s an additional process as it wasn’t 100% perfect in all lighting conditions. If I ever tried this again I’d probably start with 1000 grit w/d before the 6000 Trizact that might be perfect but as things stand I’m happy with the fine scratches as one day I’ll pass these to my son and hopefully he’ll appreciate all the little marks that show that the watches were worn. "Luck" may be the operative word here. Seems to me that replicating the continuous and deeper brush strokes on the RO is a different proposition than taking a purple scotch brite to an Oyster case.

Please just let AP handle this. If you've spent AP money, don't shortcut and try to do it yourself.

I follow one of the posts above
Definitely you can do it on a small area, take time, mask up well etc. Obviously it’s not worth returning to AP for minor scratches like you describe and I totally understand not wanting to live with small scratches Once done I put on protection sticker for the bezel available from many sellers online

it will look worse if you do it yourself. The bracelet polish graining is done continuously and in unison, doing spot cleanups will stick out like a sore thumb. Same thing with the bezel, from top down it's all grained together. So unless you're able to do it all together, you may be sorely regretting your decision.
