Rolex philanthropic moves over the last few weeks...

Well-known for its philanthropic streaks, Rolex has made waves in scientific and health endeavors: COVID-19 relief. From the start of the global pandemic, Rolex kept watch on the global pandemic, with company health at the forefront of mind as it temporarily closed factories to protect employees from potential exposure to the virus. The Crown’s generosity doesn’t stop there, as it has been supporting the American Red Cross to help mitigate the effects of the virus on global vulnerable populations. Locally, they are contributing to the World Health Organization's COVID-19 Solidarity Response Fund for research, PPE, patient care and global responses to the virus. In addition, has been supporting New York City essential services such as City Harvest –a food sourcing program– as well as Mount Sinai Hospital. Whether it's curating eye-catching chronometers or contributing to charity organizations, Rolex always remains a shining presence in the timepiece industry.

Thanks for sharing CJ. A nice change from the typical Rolex won’t sell me a sports watch threads.

It’s nice to see Rolex charity efforts extend beyond the borders of Switzerland. Not only do they give back to their local communities but they also lend a helping hand to international communities in need

Agreed, and a slightly cringy article - I assume that 'timely contribution' is just a journalistic pun.

Not sure they had a choice about closing the factory, but otherwise, good to see positive things have been done.

Thanks for the post. I’m surprised it was mentioned in the media. If it was, I sure didn’t hear about it. And I’ve been in quarantine since March 23rd.
