I don't think I'd ever want to visit that place, sorry.

For the past 20 years I have gone 2-4 times a year (all work related). Vegas is fun for 3-4 days max and then it just gets tiring.

Agree after 4 days I'm done but then it has a way of pulling you back! I don't even gamble even just like the atmosphere, restaurants and watch shops

My wife and I used to go every 2 years or so but now with our 1yo daughter might be a bit until we go back

I enjoy Vegas every couple of years...but agree that 4 days is about the max! I don’t think I’ll be there for a while these days though; not sure how you can really manage crowds like that indoors.

The way I feel lately I am far more likely to go to Seizures Palace than Caesars Palace.

I did bellagio and Caesars yesterday to look for a game (poker)... it is definitely different in the casinos. dedicated wash stations all over the casino at the bell with sinks and running water... plexiglass barriers EVERYWHERE... including between patrons at the bar. It looks terrible. The craps table is sectioned off with plexiglass by player and the poker rooms aren't opened for the foreseeable future. Security and police were EVERYWHERE... in force. Caesars is slightly less obnoxious... My guess is that it is MGM over compensating in the name of safety.

The forum shops were about 50%+ open... Jaeger Lecoutre and Breguet and Blacpain are closed but Tourneau is open and I saw a deep sea, milguass and 116710ln (pre owned) in the case for sale. I also tried on a 126603 which is very high on my list, but it's a little more than I want to spend right now so I declined (unfortunately)

I also went to South point that evening... what a stark contrast. South point have done NOTHING except restricted player numbers at tables, machines and the bars... not a single piece of plexiglass anywhere and the place was packed. The blackjack tables are three handed, and the poker room was absolutely pumping.... nearly a full house with 5/10 running and a long list for seats. Tables are five handed.

I think south point is doing it right, bellagio looks safe, but ridiculous.

The overall vibe on the strip... is actually decent. While I wasn't overwhelmingly packed, it was lite/busy and getting busier as the evening went on with people all over.

I usually don't gamble either (though I have). The watch shops are the best part. I remember one day work was canceled and all day I hit up every watch shop I could walk to from the Venetian, and it was so fun. The only one that was snooty was the AP boutique. Everybody else was cool, including Patek.

I know that AP owner well...

I'll mention that his employees were being... 'snooty'

This was around 2 years ago. It didn't help I was dressed in jeans and a flannel shirt, but the SAs were huddled around each other like they were in their own little clique and didn't even acknowledge that I was there.

2-4 days? Clock me out at 36 hours max!

I was there in March, pre-lockdown and had a great time. It will be interesting to see the changes in their operations because of what has happened.

Many Years ago, Many Many Many, I liked Vegas. I attended a lot of trade shows there so spent time in the casinos (usually losing ) went to some of the shows (my favorite was the amazing Jonathon) and the various attractions. I remember one part of town they had a track where you could drive any of the new cars out for two laps, like $20 or something. But.. as the years have gone on, I now really really hate going there. The city is dirty, the casinos smokey, you can’t walk down the street without being accosted by homeless. No, it’s a disgusting place as far as I am concerned, no more glitter and fun. I have to attend trade shows, but never go there just for my own fun. Just MHO

One of my favorite cities on earth. A good and memorable time each time (well not each time - but memorable none the less). Great food, entertainment, and overall vibe no matter what you're into.

Typically there 2-4 times a year, but gonna wait a bit longer to return. Hopefully by end of year.

I have been there so many times for conventions and industry meetings, I don't care if I never see it again. I would have been there twice more were it not for lockdown. Las Vegas=work to me.
