Daniel did a great job as a 'Bond' - gay/bi or not, he still did a good job, but Im still partial to the original, (tho dated) Sean..
He set the standard, that all followed...for 20+ years of entertainment..
And that is what it is... entertainment...!

And now for something completly different....

A couple posters brought this up earlier in this thread; the Avengers....

I had a TOTAL boyhood crush on Mrs. Peel in those tight leathers and hot Lotus or Jaguar sportscars!!!

I think John Steed was the perfect English "gentleman" secret agent! Does anyone know what watch he wore? Anybody?

The Avengers & the 1960's......Mrs. Peel in leather in the Lotus Elan...... Julie Stevens & Honor Blackman preceded Diana Rigg......and then Linda Thorson after....four lovely ladies!
Patrick Macnee was great as Steed!
He, Blackman & Rigg all appeared in Bond films!
But no info on watch.

DC made a very good Bond IMHO right behind Connery with Lazenby in third place.

Unfortunately, it looks like with MGM's financial troubles, we wont get to see another Bond film anytime soon.

"Diamonds may be forever, but the future of James Bond is looking a little grim.

According to a press release, producers Michael G Wilson and Barbara Broccoli of EON Productions announced today that production on the latest Bond film -- the 23rd in the longrunning saga -- has been suspended indefinitely "due to the continuing uncertainty surrounding the future of MGM and the failure to close a sale of the studio."

"We do not know when development will resume and do not have a date for the release of BOND 23," they added, according to a statement.

The film was initially on track for a 2011/2012 release. Diamonds may be forever, but the future of James Bond is looking a little grim.

I don't understand how they can't produce the movie because of financial troubles. If they are having problems, wouldn't the banks WANT them to produce another movie so they can make some money? Those Bond movies are 100% investments, they always make money.

Daniel Craig is only recently an ambassador. Up until then he flaunted his Rolex collection under Omega's nose because they would not pay him.

Have to disagree myself - their new cal. 8500 based models have by far the best movements available for their price point. I think it's a more advanced movement than the Rolex cal. 3135, better finished, and the accuracy seems pretty impressive as well. Add into the mix a three or four year guarantee, and you've got yourself a very, very good watch for the money. Makes Rolex seem pretty overpriced by comparison, if you ask me

At least with Rolex you'll get most of your money back when selling them in in a few years, with Omega and not to mention Tag Heuers I've taken huge losses

I went to AD to check the price of DeVille Hour Vision, the one that Daniel Craig on his wrist in magazine. The price is very close to my Explorer2, and I always think about Omega is the next-best to Rolex in my opinion.

I thought that Craig did a great jon being a hardnosed Bond, which I would think would be more to reality for a secret agent. I didn't know that he was gay, but I don't follow the tabloids at all. Look forward to the next Bond film with Craig.
