Buying pre-owned 15450 - what should it come with?

Hi all,

Found a 37mm RO (15450) from a trusted seller here on the forums. It's a 2017 model and it's a 'full set'. I've never purchased an AP before, so may I ask what I should be receiving in terms of 'paperwork' if it's a full set? e.g. manual, warranty card, etc etc.

Thanks in advance!

- warranty card (states serial and warranty number)
- instruction booklet
- international warranty booklet
- wooden box
- “sleeve” in between the wooden and outer box
- outer box

**** the list below will not be included likely if you didn’t get it brand new from AD
- coffin box
- plastic bezel and case protector
- stickers

Not sure about 2017 but the newer ones have the small and slim booklets as opposed to the older ones with bigger booklets and had the warranty info on a book as opposed to a separate card

Bezel and case protector?

I got my 15202 new from Boutique in 2018, but it was shipped. Came tightly covered in stickers and plastic wrap, but no case or bezel protector. No coffin, either.

Not sure then if it depends on the boutique or AD? Mine came in the coffin and had the plastic 2 part “protector” covering the case and bezel, and stickers on the bracelet. The coffin specifically says the reference number along with a picture of the watch similar to the one seen in this ad:

Yeah, no biggie. Was aware of the coffin, but was fine with just receiving the watch in the display box. Wasn’t aware of the bezel and case protectors. Again, no worries, but I did like having the bezel protector and coffin for my BLNR when I sold and shipped it.

Thanks so much for your help. However, I’m hearing that as it’s July 2017, it might not have the warranty card as that was introduced later in 2017? If this is the case, is a warranty booklet the equivalent? Thanks again

Yep, the warranty booklet would be the equivalent assuming it is the one that contains the warranty number and serial info on the booklet itself

Depends on the boutique I think. Got my Jumbo recently from the NY boutique, and it came without stickers, hang tag, or a bezel protector. Didn’t bother me as that paraphernalia is pretty extraneous to me.

Thanks. I can see that the warranty booklet shows:
- warranty number
- reference number
- case number
- movement number
- calibre
- country
- date of purchase
- dealer stamp from AD

Sorry for the newbie question, but serial number is not shown. Am I missing something?

The case number is the serial number. That warranty book does line up with the info on the older warranty books

Try to get all the links. Complete, it barely fits a 6.7-6.8” wrist. I had to buy an extra link

Thank you. It’s got the extra link. I hear it’s fairly easy to add or remove a link on the RO - is this your experience also?

I've sized my 15450 bracelet on my own. Easy enough with the right tools but I gotta say it was s stressful experience, pretended i was a surgeon while i was at it. the stakes of messing up the awesome finishing is high if your screwdriver slips.

Use as much tape as necessary to make you feel comfortable. I actually taped the head of my precision screwdriver when taling out an extra link on my AP. :-)
