Do you find that the Turtle and Samurai metal bracelets are too heavy?

I recently changed the metal bracelet on my PADI Pepsi Turtle to an Uncle Seiko blue waffle strap. It feels ten pounds lighter.

Thinking about the same weight loss program for my Blue Lagoon Samurai.

Do others agree that they like it lighter? Or do you like the heavy feel of the bracelet?

I think that the jubilee bracelets are less heavy than the oyster style bracelets that come with the Turtles and Samurais.

Looks very nice!

Not so much the weight that I didn't like of OEM, I just don't like the extra polished "pin-striping" on the center link. Reminds me of a wanna-be Omega bracelet and in general too cluttered.

So I went w/ a "plain-Jane" oyster replacement from Strapcode.com. For those that haven't tried a strapcode replacement for your Seiko I highly recommend them. Endlinks are top-notch, fit & finish is superb & it gives the watch a simple look that really improves it IMO.

I agree about the “pin-striping”

I’m not the biggest fan.

Any pics of your watch with the new bracelet??

This looks really nice

Is that jubilee off of an skx or what kind of Seiko?

Thanks!

Not at all, id like them to be thicker and heavier, they are a bit on the thin side for mine.

It is a different feel in the metal and I like it but can also understand how the rubber strap appeals.

Not only heavy but uncomfortable for me anyway. I put my SRPA21 on a blue rubber strap and FS stayed there.

Thanks , yes its from a Skx with aftermarket end links . The end links fit really well, & think its going to be quite a while before I change onto another strap . The Rubber/silicone straps are comfy but can be quite bulky & don't really fit under shirt cuffs easily ( I mostly wear shirts for work ) . The Jubilee does the job nicely

Awesome :)

Where can I find those endlinks?

I love my turtle but prefer the jubilee bracelet on my skx!

Thanks for replying

Due to both weight and design, I’ve replaced all the 22mm bracelets on my Seiko watches. My favorite alternatives are from Strapcode and Uncle Seiko, with the latter being the best bang for the buck.

Which Uncle Seiko bracelets do you like? The beads of rice and razor wire look interesting.

Yep! The divers extension on the SRP775 dig in to my wrist making in very uncomfortable.

I don’t now, but check out their website...once you select the bracelet they usually have a few example shots at the bottom of each page...really good pics that gives you a good idea of what they look like on the watch. I can’t say enough good things about their stainless bracelets for Seiko’s. I’m considering getting a few different kinds now simply because the quality is so good and with the glorious drilled lugs on the Turtle, band changes are a breeze.
